1. Gunung Lang Recreational Park
Location: Jalan Damai, 30100 Ipoh, Negeri Perak
Operation hour: everyday, 8:30am – 6pm
A few kilometres north of old Ipoh, Mount Lang (Gunung Lang) Leisure Park exhibits the best of the nature of Perak. The limestone cliffs covering the central turquoise lake have a patchwork of green blankets. In the distance, rocky outcrops point haphazardly into the horizon. To a cascading waterfall, observation towers and swampy ecosystems, take the boardwalks. Look out for tropical birds, macaques and flying foxes.
2. Kellie’s Castle
Location: 31000 Batu Gajah, Perak
Operation hour: 9am – 5:30pm | 9am – 6pm (Fri – Sun)
You can’t skip being one of the places to come. Kellie ‘s Castle is an old castle which was built in 1905 by William Kellie Smith. With 14 rooms, a basement and a hidden passage, after Kellie Smith died unexpectedly of pneumonia, this three-storey building did not have time to be finished. This palace is also famous because it was designed by Kellie for his wife as a sign of love for the pair.
3. Pulau Pangkor
Pangkor Island is one of the popular holiday island destinations apart from Langkawi.
