WHERE TO SHOP IN KUALA LUMPUR

Ask someone who was on Petaling Street in Selangor and they can quote it as a shoppers’ sanctuary, although in a different class than their more fashionable peers, Bukit Bintang and KLCC. The entire place becomes a well-known shopping district and becomes a colourful and bustling night after dark market with hundreds of stands selling all at dirt-cheap rates , making it the city’s most successful Nightmarket.

1. Central Market

Location: Central Market, Kasturi Walk @, 50050, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur Central Market, also recognized as Pasar Seni, has been built from a former wet market, selling fruit, vegetables and meat. The region has now been revamped and contains a number of parts that represent various influences, ethnic backgrounds and local items such as souvenirs, art and crafts in Malaysia, including Malay, Indian and Chinese areas. There is also a food court on the upper floor selling local delicacies and the place on the market is popular for its street vendors and musical performances.
