5. Chow Kit Local Market

Chow Kit Market is located on Petaling Street in the middle of Kuala Lumpur. The region is split into two sections. The first has Malaysia’s biggest wet market, further split into beef and seafood. Section 2 sells lots of fruit, herbs , spices and other “dry” products, including clothing, towels and shoes. In this section you’re welcome. In addition to fun on the market, the Chow Kit area is a rich cultural experience that is waiting for you to explore.

6. Kampung Baru Market
Location: Jalan Raja Muda Musa, Kuala Lumpur
Operation hour: 6pm – 1am Saturday
The Kampung Baru Sunday Market is largely operated by the Malay community of the region which makes it a great shopping spot for those looking for traditional Malay clothes. Some might be puzzled about the name of this street market because it actually runs from Saturday Abend to Sunday morning. Kampung Baru Sunday Markt was founded in 1899, and it is also a popular food resort in the KL city centre.

7. Taman Connaught Night Market
Location: Jalan Cerdas, Taman Connaught, 56000 Kuala Lumpur

Every Wednesday evening, you’ll find more than 700 shops along a two kilometre long road, the Taman Connaught Night Market. It takes up to 2 hours to visit the whole market place so you will visit many cheap clothes , shoes, books, luggage, handicrafts and household products. This street market is very popular with the local population and well known for its wide variety of Chinese hawkers.

Petaling St. is the most populated street markets in Chinatown, KL and houses hundreds of stalls, selling all at dirt-cheap prices. It is renowned for its lively and colourful shopping district in Kuala Lumpur. A huge green marquee stretches the entire lane, defending vendors and tourists against rain, shopping for falsified handbags, watches, trainers and clothes. The great thing is that costs will also be lowered because the way of life here is haggling.

9. Mid Valley Megamall
