1. Central Market
Location: Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, Kota Kinabalu
Operation hour: everyday 6:30am - 6pm
Hold along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, the Central Market of Kota Kinabalu is much like its counterpart in Kuala Lumpur. Occupying a strip of waterfront real estate in the centre of town, this souk has suppliers selling a range of goods like local produce, with decent value-for - money meals in the stalls selling nasi campur.
Continue to explore local crafts at the Filipino Market on the waterfront which is nerby. A treasure chest of hats, dresses and other local crafts is inside.

2. Handicraft Market
Location: Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, Kota Kinabalu
Operation hour: everyday 8am - 9pm
This bazaar is the best place to get mass-produced souvenirs, often inexpensive, including jewellery, bamboo products, pearls, seashell crafts and textiles, sandwiched between the Night Market and Central Market in Kota Kinabalu. As you'll find more offers than the advertised sticker rates, make sure to negotiate.

3. Gaya Street Sunday Market
Location: Jalan Gaya, Kota Kinabalu
Operation hour: : Sunday morning
Hundreds of not-so-different stalls host the festival, selling everything you might think. There's the edible, which certainly would reflect much of the sweet and savoury pleasures of Sabah, and the drinkable one, some of which you might identify, most of which you might not identify.

4. Night Market
Location: Serikin, 94000 Bau, Sarawak
Operation hour: : Saturday & Sunday (8am – 6pm)
Also situated behind the Filipino Market along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, this market takes place under the imposing Le Meridien. You can buy a real range of items in the southwest part of the market, while in the northeast region there is a big hawker centre with a smorgasbord of local foods. Note: some of the stall serve pork

5. Pasar Tanjung Tawau
Location: Jalan Dunlop, Tawau
Operation hour: everyday 5am - 5pm
A perfect place to buy all sorts of dried seafood, garments, local sweets, seasonal vegetables / meat, etc. Dried seafood outlets will make credit card payments. Very convenient and welcoming shop. You should have a 3rd lever with local food and coffee. Enjoy your meal overlooking the sea on the 3rd level.

6. Tamu Kudat
Location: Jalan Dunlop, Tawau
Operation hour: Tuesday & Wednesday 6am - 2pm
You'll smell it before you see it. Photogenic for its tropical fruit, dried fish, edible seaweed and earnest hagglers, this is a fun spot to people-watch between buses.

7. Suria Sabah
Location: Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, Pusat Bandar Kota Kinabalu, 88000 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Operation hour: everyday 10am - 10pm
In the town of Kota Kinabalu , Sabah, Malaysia, Suria Sabah is a shopping centre. Completed in July 2009, with a spectacular view of the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, the mall lies on an 11-acre site facing the South China Sea. Designer products by the score, a multiplex theatre, a shrine of consumerism and impossible not to enjoy several good restaurants.

8. Pasar Filipina
Location: Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen, Kota Kinabalu
Operation hour: everyday 9am - 10pm
This Philippine market is a food lover's heaven, you can find different kinds of seafood here, know that Sabah is abundant in seafood.
Do not forget to try a common food here if you come here.
Pay attention to the cleanliness of the chosen market, no matter how hungry you are, it will be impossible later on for a family to spend a holiday in Sabah due to stomach ache.

9. Centre Point Sabah
Location: Jln Dua Puluh, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Operation hour: evryday 10am – 10pm
Centre Point Sabah may not be the newest or most stunning shopping centre in Kota Kinabalu, but it's definitely the city's busiest and most convenient. KK 's literal focal stage.
You can find all kinds of jeans, accessories and other apparel, beauty goods and perfumes here, many different styles of restaurants to satisfy each palate, and more.

10. The Nabalu Market
Location: Jalan Ranau Pekan Nabalu, Kundasang
Operation hour: Thursday 6am – 12:30am
Nabalu Market is situated in Kundasang and is a flea market. There was a dedicated lookout near the Nabalu town market to view Mount Kinabalu and the rolling mountains surrounding it. Markets for crafts and vegetables in Nabalu. That's cheaper than the city amount. A large range of local food and produce can be found. The Nabalu food market sells nearly all sorts of fruits , vegetables and snacks.
