3. Pantai Cahaya Bulan

As it offers a view of the blue ocean and kite-flying events, Pantai Cahaya Bulan is popular among locals. In the evenings, vendors lug bright kites to those who want to fly them up in the sky. Give one a try, and the wind nearly took me with it. Your friend need to hold onto the kite before dropping it in the air. Dare you to sprint as hard as you can to stabilise the rope while it was swept away by the current. Sure you can have some fun

 

 

4. Craft a Wayang Kulit shadow puppet with Pak Dain

Pak Dain is a master of shadow play, who started this gallery in 2008 after working in the government sector for a while, all while studying and investigating more thoroughly into conventional shadow play. It was obvious from our talk how passionate he was from the storeys he shared. When I asked him why he had set up such a gallery in Morak, he said that for decades to come, a cultural heritage such as the wayang kulit should be preserved as there are not that many original players in country

 

 

5. Wat Machimmaram, South East Asia ‘s Largest Buddha Statues

Location: Kampung Cik Zainal, 31200 Chemor, Perak

While Kelantan is an Islamic state, the openness to other representations of religion is an indication of how in a multi-cultural and multi-religious setting, Malaysians live harmoniously. In this east coast area, you really wouldn’t expect to see the greatest standing Buddha, sitting Buddha or sleeping Buddha. However, as Tumpat is close to Thailand ‘s border, there are a decent number of Siamese people who have opted to remain in Kelantan, making it their home for decades.

6. Muhammadi Mosque

Location:  Jalan Taman Tasik Taiping, Taman Tasik Taiping, 34000 Taiping, Perak, Malaysia

The Muhammadi Mosque, which was initially a wooden building, was rebuilt into stone in 1922 during the reign of Sultan Muhammad II in 1867. Through the use of marble in the prayer room, the mosque has the architectural influence of the British colonialists. The walls of this mosque are adorned with sculptured Quranic phrases. The antiques and exquisite architecture are not only worth it, this mosque still has its own charm because it has a clock tower as well.

 

7. Suri Island Float Market

Location:  Pulau Suri, 15350, Kelantan

Want to experience the experience of walking around looking for food in a floating market or floating market like in a neighboring country, Thailand? You can feel it if you visit the Suri Floating Market which started opening on 17 September 2016. To get to this floating market area, the fee charged for the boat service provided is between RM3 to RM10 depending on the type of boat offered at Kuala Besar Jetty.

8. Gelanggang Seni/Art Arena

Location:  Jalan Mahmood, Bandar Kota Bharu, 15200 Kota Bharu, Kelantan
Operation hour:  3:30pm – 5:30pm (Mon, Wed, Sat)

In addition to visiting the Handicraft Museum, you can also go to the Art Arena to see various cultural performances and try out the various activities on offer.

Among the activities held here are martial arts shows, puppet shows, top games, kite play and more. Best of all, all the shows held here are held for free!

9. Lata Rek

Location:  Jalan Kuala Krai – Gua Musang, 18000 Kuala Krai, Kelantan

This one is about those who love nature but want to do nothing serious. Technically, Lata Rek is known as a waterfall, but it is more like a waterfall with a shallow, transparent river running from the foot. At your own risk (especially in the rainy season when water levels are high and the current is stronger), climb the rocky bit, but the river is very gentle, making Lata Rek a popular family picnic spot. In the hot heat, a refreshing, cold river.

 

10. Pantai Senok Lighthouse

Location: Rumah Api Pantai Senok, 16020 Kota Bharu, Kelantan

Pantai Senok is a popular spot among locals in Bachok, Kelantan. It’s well-known for its breathtaking, pine-tree-lined seaside walks. The trees were planted a few years ago by the Forestry Department and other related parties and the trees are all mature and tall now. Some individuals referred to this Pantai Senok as the “Nami Island” variant of Malaysia found in Korea.

3. Tambatan Diraja Kelantan (Royal Mooring)

Location: Jalan Sultan, 15400, Kota Bharu, Kelantan
Operation hour: 24 hours

It’s right on the banks of the River Kelantan. As there are several rows of eateries along the way, the place is very busy at night. Sometimes, there are often bands or groups of buskers singing songs in the middle of the foyer.

 

4. KST Ikan Bakar

Location: Alamat: S/62, Lot 1214, Jalan Kuala Krai, Wakaf Che Yeh, 15100 Kota Bharu, Kelantan
Operation hour: everyday, 4:30pm – 12am

KST Ikan Bakar is not far from Wakaf Che Yeh night market, only about 2 minutes drive from the bazaar late that night. The freshness of the seafood variety adds to the deliciousness of the food here. It is a seafood restaurant that is no stranger to the state.

5. Sunset at Pantai Sabak

Pantai Sabak, where the Japanese army first invaded Malaya, is another beach frequented by locals. There used to be a fort here, but as the erosion took place, it was swept away. Rocks and white sand make up the shore side. There is also a tall sand dune where locals climb up in the evening for a glimpse of the sun setting. This region is also renowned for its famed Acu Tera restaurant, which translates as ‘Cuba try’ or ‘Please try’.
